Martin Shepperd: The Challenges of Computer-based Prediction

Martin Shepperd is currently Professor of Software Technology at Brunel University, London, UK. He has authored or coauthored more than 130 refereed papers and three books in the areas of empirical software engineering and machine learning.

From 1992 to 2007, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Information & Software Technology and presently an Associate Editor of Empirical Software Engineering. Shepperd was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions of Software Engineering (2000-2004). He has been Program Chair for Metrics 2001, 2004 and for ESEM 2011.

Shepperd has supervised more then 20 PhD students to completion and been examiner for more than 25 including for universities in Germany, Sweden, Norway and Australia.
